1) Scope
Hoo Hoo Studios ("Hoo Hoo," "we," "our," or "us") develops applications for Apple platforms and operates the website at hoohoo.studio (together, the "Services").
This Policy applies to all of our applications and to our website, except where a particular application discloses different practices at the time of installation or use. Our applications do not require an account with us, and we do not operate servers that store user data.
Some applications retrieve reference data from third parties, as described in Section 4. Those requests are made from your device and are not routed through us. Where a third-party provider requires you to register in order to obtain access, that account is held with the provider and not with us.
2) Information We Collect
We collect the following limited categories of information:
- Information you provide. If you contact us, we receive your email address, the contents of your message, any attachments, and the routing information supplied by your email provider.
- Information stored on your device. Our applications store preferences, settings, and content you create in local application storage. This information remains on your device, is not transmitted to us, and is not accessible to us, except where an application discloses otherwise.
- Aggregated App Store information. Apple provides us with aggregated reports concerning downloads and territories, and, where you have enabled Share With App Developers in iOS Settings, aggregated usage statistics and crash diagnostics. This information does not identify individual users.
- Server logs. Our website is delivered by a third-party static hosting provider, which processes IP addresses and browser user-agent strings in standard server logs as necessary to serve the site. We do not have access to these logs.
We do not collect precise geolocation, contacts, photographs, health data, advertising identifiers, or browsing activity across other applications or websites. Our applications do not contain advertising, analytics, attribution, or tracking software.
Where an application uses your location or other information you enter, it is used on your device to produce the result you asked for and is not transmitted to us. Where producing that result requires a request to a third-party data provider, the information contained in the request is received by that provider, as described in Section 4.
3) How We Use Information
Information is used only for the following purposes:
- Responding to support requests and other correspondence
- Diagnosing faults and maintaining the stability of the Services
- Developing and improving the Services
- Complying with applicable law and enforcing our Terms of Use
We do not use information for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making.
4) Disclosure of Information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. Information may be received by third parties in the following circumstances:
- Apple. The Services are distributed through the App Store and make use of operating system frameworks provided by Apple. Where an application allows you to send content through Apple's messaging services, that content is transmitted by Apple to the recipients you select and does not pass through our systems. Apple's practices are governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.
- Public data providers. Certain applications retrieve publicly available reference data, such as statistical or mapping data, from the organisations that publish it. Those requests are made directly from your device to the provider, which receives your IP address and the parameters of the request. We do not receive or process these requests. Where a provider requires registration or an access credential, your account is held with that provider, and its handling of your information is governed by that provider's own privacy policy.
- Service providers. Our website hosting provider and our email provider process information on our behalf for the purposes described in this Policy.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information where required by law, or where necessary to establish or defend legal claims or to protect the rights and safety of any person.
6) Data Retention
Correspondence is retained only for as long as necessary to address your request and any related follow-up, or as required by law, and is deleted earlier upon request.
Information stored locally by an application is retained on your device until you delete it within the application or uninstall the application.
7) Security
We limit risk principally by limiting collection: we do not maintain user accounts or databases of personal information. We apply reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the correspondence we do hold. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8) Children's Privacy
Our Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
9) International Users
We operate from the United States. If you contact us from outside the United States, the information contained in your message will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
10) Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information; to object to or request restriction of its processing; to withdraw consent; and not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights.
Because we do not maintain accounts, the only personal information we hold is correspondence you have sent to us. To exercise any right, contact us at support@hoohoo.studio. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and may ask you to send your request from the email address concerned in order to verify it.
You may also control the following through your device settings: sharing of analytics and crash diagnostics with developers, under Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements; and any permissions granted to an application, under Settings > Privacy & Security.
For the purposes of California law, we do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
11) Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised Effective Date. Your continued use of the Services after the revised Policy takes effect constitutes acceptance of it.
